There's something’s missing, but I can’t quite explain what it is...
You’ve done the work—read the books, tried the routines, maybe even gone to therapy—but still, you feel stuck. Like you’re living someone else’s life, watching your potential slip by.
You know your patterns. The overthinking, the self-doubt, the habits that hold you back. And yet… nothing changes. That quiet voice inside keeps whispering,
“You’re meant for more.”

At Bluefields Psychotherapy, we help you listen to that voice.
Together, we’ll unpack what’s keeping you stuck, heal what’s been buried, and reconnect you with the life you know you’re meant to live.
This is your space to feel, to heal, and to finally live fully.

About Jennifer
Before becoming a therapist, I spent over 25 years in the financial sector, helping people navigate difficult decisions about money, business, and life. Over time, I began to notice something deeper: many of the challenges my clients were facing weren’t just financial, they were emotional. Stress, relational strain, burnout, and unresolved trauma often lay beneath the surface.
My own journey through recovery after two major car accidents, along with personal experiences of burnout, made it clear. Real healing requires more than strategy. It requires emotional support, compassionate guidance, and a space where people feel seen and safe.
That clarity led me to pursue a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and shift fully into the mental health field. I now bring a unique blend of systems thinking, cultural sensitivity, and emotional insight to the work I do.
I’m trained in EMDR, ART (Accelerated Resolution Therapy), and the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. My style is collaborative, client-led, and grounded in the belief that therapy should feel both practical and deeply human.
At the heart of my practice is this belief:
Healing isn’t linear, it’s layered, lived, and lifelong.
Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of what’s next, I’m here to walk with you as you find clarity, resilience, and a renewed sense of self.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does psychotherapy work?
With me, therapy is a collaborative process that typically includes assessment and relationship building, identifying patterns, learning tools and coping strategies, talking things through in a safe space, and gradually building your capacity for change. Other modalities like EMDR or ART may look a bit different but are still rooted in a supportive, personalized approach.
How often should I come to therapy?
Frequency varies depending on your needs. I usually recommend weekly sessions for the first 6 months, then bi-weekly for the next 6, and eventually moving to monthly check-ins. For EMDR and ART, weekly sessions are recommended to start, with ART often moving to bi-weekly after the first 5 sessions.
What insurance do you accept and how does claiming work?
All insurance plans are accepted. I provide detailed receipts after each session, which you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. Direct billing will be available in the coming months.
What are your fees?
Fees vary by service:
- Individual therapy: $160/session
- Couples therapy: $185/session
- EMDR & ART: $220/session
Workplace intervention services: Fees vary depending on the program (a detailed breakdown is available upon request)
What is your cancellation policy?
We require at least 48 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Cancellations with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee. A valid credit card must be kept on file.
What can I expect from a free consultation?
The consultation is a chance to explore your needs, learn more about my therapeutic approach, and discuss what frequency and type of support might work best for you.
Is telehealth safe?
We understand that safety and privacy are top concerns when it comes to online sessions. We use the most secure and PHIPA-compliant online booking and video systems – PracticeBetter and DOXY.ME. You can rest easy knowing that all your personal information is kept confidential. Plus, we’ll send you reminder emails before each session, so you never miss one. With JANE and DOXY.ME, you can join your session from any device – phone, tablet, or computer – with just a few clicks.
